Vanessa and Sean were married at the Church of St Eurgain and St Peter in Northop, Flintshire on a dazzlingly sunny June day, where the beaming mother-of-the-bride walked Vanessa down the aisle with pride. I loved Vanessa’s long-sleeved gown, with its beautiful textured gauzy skirt, and the colours of her bouquet were a perfect complement to the bridesmaids’ dresses in shades of plum, lilac and dusty rose.
A short drive in a classic 1920’s style vintage Cowley wedding car took the newlywed couple to their reception at gorgeous Grade-II listed Georgian house Soughton Hall. where guests were waiting in the gardens to welcome the happy couple. After enjoying canapes and drinks in the sunshine in the venue’s beautiful grounds, Sean and Vanessa made their entrance to the wedding breakfast in the Garden Room, where Vanessa’s touching speech brought tears to a few eyes.
The couple were treated to stunning golden-hour light after their meal, where the fountain and hedges of the Secret Garden provided the perfect secluded spot for some romantic couples portraits. After some dancing back in the Garden Room, Sean and Vanessa stole away for a quick walk in the twilight, and a stop by the Coach House to take a few photos underneath the festoon lights. A wonderful day to be a part of from start to end!
I had a fantastic day second shooting for wonderful lead photographer Jessica Hopwood on this occasion.
