Historic Tyn Dwr Hall, just outside Llangollen, provided the perfect setting for Lauren and Patrick’s sunny August wedding.
Lauren was absolutely beaming with joy as we arrived at Tyn Dwr, glowing in her beautiful makeup and completely in love with her flowers and other carefully-chosen details of the day as she got ready in the hall. I loved how Lauren’s long embellished veil (which inspired the design for the wedding cake!) complemented the simplicity of her elegant A-line dress. Tucked away in the grounds, Patrick was joined by his groomsmen in the picturesque Yew Tree Cottage for relaxed final preparations before greeting guests on the grand front doorstep.
The bright and elegant Ballroom offered a romantic backdrop for Patrick and Lauren’s wedding ceremony, with the ornately carved sandstone fireplace (one of my favourite details at Tyn Dwr) beautifully dressed with stunning pastel florals that later on adorned the tables in the Garden Room for the couple’s wedding breakfast. The Northern String Quartet brought the Bridgerton vibes, with Billie Eilish and Pitbull songs making their way onto Lauren’s carefully curated playlist.
On such a wonderfully warm summer day the couple’s guests made the most of the Terrace to soak up the sun and enjoy the expansive views of the Welsh hills and stunning countryside whilst enjoying canapes and drinks, and a wander through Tyn Dwr’s beautiful gardens.
As evening fell the action returned to the Ballroom for dancing, with Lauren sharing a touching dance with her father before joining Patrick for their first dance as husband and wife. A quick dress change for Lauren ahead of some prosecco spray fun outside rounded off a fantastic day.
I had an awesome time second shooting for the lovely Jessica Hopwood Photography (www.jessicahopwood.com)
