A bride and groom framed in a the doorway of Hadley Park House Hotel in Telford at night

Natalie and Imre’s wedding at Hadley Park House Hotel in Telford, Shropshire took place on a lovely bright early Autumn day, with just a hint of the turn of the seasons in the grounds as leaves start to swap their green hues for russet tones. The couple had their marriage ceremony in the sunlit conservatory, and it was touching to see how emotional the groom was when his beautiful bride first made her entrance; indeed, I think I spotted several of the guests tearing up a little as Natalie first walked in!

As groom Imre is Hungarian, there were several nods to his heritage throughout the day. Imre chose to wear a beautiful handmade bocskai jacket and waistcoat with scrolling detail across the chest and around the cuffs. In place of champagne or prosecco, Hungarian spirits were shared by the guests to toast during the speeches (I got to sample the plum one and it was delicious!), and in the evening after the couple’s first dance, bride Natalie had a go at the traditional “money dance”, where she was spun around the floor by first the best man, and then by a whole host of her guests to traditional music while the best man collected donations from the guests to pay for the privilege of dancing with the bride. I was impressed with Natalie’s stamina; the dancing was lively and so many guests wanted their turn to dance with her that the music was repeated a couple of times!
